Head Associate
Louise Hughes (nee Phipps)
Louise has been involved in physie for over 50 years as a competitor, teacher and judge. Louise was Newcastle Junior and senior Zone Champion and placed at the Senior National Finals at the Sydney Opera house. Louise has been a teacher for 30 years producing National Finalists and winning teams. Louise helps every individual member reach their full potential while fostering a inclusive team environment. Louise will be teaching the 5-12 years, 13-16 years, Novice-Open Ladies.

Jasmine Currie
Jasmine has been passionate about physie since she started at just three years old. As a dedicated competitor, she has reached National Finals and been apart of winning teams. With 13 years of teaching experience, she has coached Zone Champions, national placegetters, and NSW-winning teams. Her Diploma in Childcare gives her a strong understanding of how to engage and support children of all ages. This year, she will be teaching Preschoolers, 5–8 years, 9–12 years while also assisting with the 13–16 years group.

Bea Burton
Bea has been part of the physie world for over 25 years, achieving top placements at the National Titles at the Sydney Opera House and performing in winning teams. With eight years of teaching experience, she has successfully coached wining teams and national finalists. As a qualified Personal Trainer, Bea brings her expertise in strength and conditioning to her classes. This year, she will be teaching 13 years-Ladies, inspiring dancers to reach their full potential.

India Coloton
India has been involved in physie for over 20 years, winning Zone competitions and earning national places in both the Senior and Lady divisions. She has produced national placegetters and winning teams. Known for her warm and friendly nature, India creates a positive and encouraging environment where students thrive. Her strong musicality helps dancers develop their timing, rhythm, and performance skills. This year, she will be teaching Preschoolers, 5–8 years, and 9–12 years.

Josephine Ku
Josephine is stepping into her first year of teaching, and we know the girls will look up to her and be inspired by her passion and dedication. As a Zone Champion, National Finalist, and leader of winning team, she brings both experience and enthusiasm to her role. A strong dancer and natural leader, she is always encouraging and supportive of her students. This year, she will be teaching the 5–8 years and 9–12 years.

Sadly Cece passed away 25/11/21. She is our Physie Angel and her legacy will continue to inspire us all. We will continue to teach, support, nurture and love our Physie family just how she would have wanted it.
